The Vgate vLinker BM+ connects to your car's OBD-II port and gives a Bluetooth 4.0 link to your phone for fault diagnosis, live data, and performance monitoring. The V2.2 firmware is what matters here: it's specifically optimised for BMW, Mini, and vehicles using the BMW-derived protocol — including full support for extended diagnostics that generic ELM327 clones handle poorly on these cars.
It supports 15 ELM-format and 23 STN-format protocols out of the box, plus up to 64 user-defined protocols. That covers virtually every OBD-II standard car from 2001 (US) or 2004 (EU) onwards across a broad compatibility list. The sleep current is under 2mA, so it won't drain your battery if you leave it plugged in.
Works with a wide range of OBD apps — BimmerCode, BimmerLink, CarScanner, OBD Fusion, Torque, and others. Full AT and ST command compatibility means it works with almost any app that accepts ELM327 input.
