*Why it’s BS:*
1. *What it claims*: Plugs into 12V cigarette lighter and “stabilizes voltage / balances current” to save 20-35% fuel.
2. *What it actually is*: Usually just an LED light + maybe a capacitor or nothing inside. I’ve seen teardowns - some are literally empty shells.
3. *Physics*: Your car’s alternator + ECU already regulate voltage perfectly. A R209 plug can’t “balance” fuel injection. Fuel is controlled by oxygen sensors, ECU, driving style. Not your cigarette lighter.
*Red flags on KifTech listing:*
- “Auto Gas Economizer” - vague buzzwords, zero specs
- No brand, no certification, no dyno tests
- “Portable” fuel saver = if it worked, car manufacturers would install it from factory and save billions
- Sold via Facebook ads = same places that push magnetic fuel savers, acetone in tank, etc
AA South Africa, Consumer Reports, Mythbusters all tested these “fuel saver” plugs. Result: 0% savings. Sometimes 1-2% worse because the LED draws power.

Mounting back holes and space needs to be bigger. The instructions needs to be in better English. "The back door" on the instructions, should be the Ignition switch. The color coding does not correspond with the instructions either.
