Swirl flap blanks for BMW N57 and N57S diesel engines — the 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0 variants. This is Specification B.
Swirl flaps are a known failure point on BMW diesel engines. When they break, the butterfly mechanisms can fall into the intake manifold and cause serious engine damage. The standard repair is to remove the flaps entirely and fit aluminium blanks in their place. These do exactly that: machined aluminium plugs with gaskets that seal the intake ports cleanly and eliminate the failure risk permanently.
