2. Ground yourself. Use an ESD strap before touching the internals. Static discharge can damage the display or the board. Wear eye protection when working near cracked glass.
3. Don't over-bend the flex cable. Bending past 90 degrees causes a black display.
Professional installation is recommended if you haven't repaired a tablet display before. The iPad Pro 11-inch (2018) uses strong adhesive around the display perimeter — a heat mat is strongly recommended.
