2. Ground yourself. Use an ESD (electrostatic discharge) strap before touching internals — static can damage the phone's electronic components. Wear eye protection and watch for glass splinters from the broken screen.
3. Mind the flex cable. Don't bend the LCD cable past 90 degrees — over-bending causes a black display.
Professional installation is recommended if you haven't done a screen replacement before.
