Product Overview
A 900MHz GSM signal booster for improving mobile reception indoors. The outdoor Yagi antenna captures the weak signal from the nearest cell tower, the booster amplifies it, and the indoor antenna rebroadcasts it through your space. The result is usable signal in rooms, offices, and buildings where reception was previously one bar or zero.
Works with GSM 900MHz band — check your carrier's band for South Africa. MTN, Vodacom, and Cell C use 900MHz for 2G and extended coverage. The booster doesn't interfere with the base station and requires no configuration at the network level.
Installation steps
- Test signal outside or on the roof with your phone. You need at least −70dBm (strong signal) at the outdoor antenna location.
- Mount the Yagi outdoor antenna pointing toward the cell tower. Higher position is better.
- Run the included coaxial cable from the outdoor antenna into the building to the booster unit.
- Connect the indoor antenna to the booster and mount it inside.
- Power up and check indoor signal. Adjust outdoor antenna direction until satisfied.
Important: outdoor and indoor antennas must be separated by at least 10 metres and have a physical barrier (wall or floor) between them to prevent oscillation. Seal outdoor cable connections with waterproof tape.
